Mzungu Kichaa releases music video

RENOWNED Tanzania artist Mzungu Kichaa on Wednesday launched his new video ‘Twajiachia’ at the Paparazi Club, Masaki in Dar es Salaam.
He has featured in the song a popular reggae artist in the country, Michael Alfred, aka Mahfet. The video was recorded in Hamburg, Germany.
Mzungu Kichaa told a press conference the video involved different scenes in Humburg as well as in the studio. He added that ‘Twajiachia’ is a song that talks about life in general… it asks people to party and enjoy life despite the challenges they face.
“We, as artists, our goal is to make people happy through our songs and other stuffs and in this song I and my friend Mahfet decided to go further by asking people to be happy to enjoy life, despite their income and other challenges facing them,” he said.
He added: “We came up with this idea during a music tour in Germany and we realized that there are many things in life that people need to cheer and be happy with and all are in the song.”
Mzungu Kichaa said their German tour was very successful as it involved his band, Bongo, and all members had a chance to display their talent. Mahfet said ‘Twajiachia’ has exposed him to another type of songs.
“As a reggae artist, this song means a lot to me as it carries many messages and I am sure people will like it” he said.
The other members of the Bong Band who participated in the tour as well as the video are Abdallah Membe (drums) Kevin Mpangala (bass guitar), Shaaban Rashid (keyboard) and Emmanuel Mwandemele (lead guitar).
